Integration readiness planner

Before an integration project, mark the systems in scope and how each handoff confirms, fails, and is owned. The sheet lists what is still open. It is not a quote and not a score.

Nothing you enter leaves this browser. There is no form to send, and nothing is stored.

Systems in scope

A handoff sits between each pair of neighbouring systems you keep. Untick a layer and its neighbours hand off directly.

See the readiness sheet
  • Owns the order and the record the business trusts.
  • Holds stock locations and releases work to the floor.
  • Chooses the next task and who carries it.
  • Commands equipment and waits for confirmation.
  • Moves goods on conveyors, sorters, carts, and arms.

Handoffs

Answer for each handoff in both directions: the message down and the confirmation back. Anything not defined yet stays open on the sheet.

HandoffERP to WMS

Typical failureOrders and confirmations disagree. A release goes down, the reply does not match, and the pictures of the order drift apart.

Who owns the exception

HandoffWMS to WES

Typical failureReleased work never becomes a task the floor can run. Priority drops out, or execution still holds an older state.

HandoffWES to WCS

Typical failureA task goes out and never comes back confirmed. Exception queues fill, and the layers drift.

HandoffWCS to PLC / equipment

Typical failureCommands and equipment state drift. A move is late or unacknowledged, so the line and the software disagree.
